Diving into a New Year: Leadership, Community, and Calvary STRONG!

As we step into the rhythm of a new school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who are contributing to making Calvary STRONG. This past week has been our first full academic week, and it has been wonderful to see students settling into their learning with enthusiasm and purpose.

One of the highlights of Term 1 is always our Swimming Carnivals, where our students from year 3 to 12, have the opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, perseverance, and the Calvary STRONG culture. These events not only promote physical well-being but also encourage camaraderie and healthy competition among our students. We all enjoyed cheering them on and celebrating their efforts. A special shout out to Mrs Downes and her team for once again bringing excellence to our carnival.

Another significant moment this week has been our Secondary College Leadership Assembly, where we commissioned and prayed for our student leaders for 2025. Leadership at Calvary is founded in service, and we are excited to see how our students will lead with integrity, humility, and a heart for others. I also had the privilege of sharing a Pizza with our Primary College leaders last week, answering some fantastic questions, and I am looking forward to sitting with the Secondary College leaders this coming week over Pizza, as they prepare for the excitement and challenge of the Compass leadership conference in Canberra.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce Calvary’s Executive Team, who work alongside me to support the vision, mission, culture, and direction of our College.

Together, we are committed to serving our students, team, and families, ensuring that our College remains a place where faith, learning, and community thrive.Lastly, I want to extend a warm encouragement to all our families to be actively involved in the life of the College. Whether it’s attending events, supporting student activities, or engaging in conversations about learning and faith, your partnership is invaluable.

May this year be one where we continue to grow in knowledge, faith, and character together.

Bless you all,
